The former quarry is visible as an earthwork pit and bank.

A former quarry of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit and bank on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, at Long Wood. The quarry is visible as a northeast to southwest aligned oval shaped earthwork pit, with outer earthwork banks and measuring approximately 45m in length. The former quarry, which is located within an area of dense woodland, was not visible on aerial photographs made available to the survey.
