A hulk of 20th century date is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards at Lower Noss Point. The small sailing craft which appears abandoned sometime after 1942 is first visible on aerial photographs of 1945, positioned on its side and complete with mast. The former craft, which measures approximately 16.5m long, remains visible in a largely complete state and stationary position on aerial photographs up until 1960 and is not visible on aerial photographs of 1984 or later digital images.
