The barbed-wire entanglements are visible as a structure.

Barbed-wire entanglements of Second World War date are visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1942 onwards at Britannia Royal Naval College. The entanglements are roughly northeast to southwest aligned, are visible to a length in excess of 300m and form a fairly irregular line along the southern edge of Britannia Royal Naval College. The entanglements remain visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1943, although have been completely removed by 1945.
