A possible groyne or jetty of probable modern date is visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken from 2006 onwards, as 35 metre long and 2 metre wide linear structure projecting into the River Teign from the intertidal zone south of Flow Point. A pole or beacon can be seen casting a shadow from the south-western end of the structure which might support the interpretation it functioned as a navigation aid as well as providing sheltered quay at Flow Point. It has been transcribed and recorded to avoid confusion with other archaeological features.
