Undecorated plain stone tablet set in wall directly below the rather more ornate First World War plaque.
THIS TABLET RECORDS THE GRATITUDE OF THE PEOPLE OF YARCOMBE TO ALMIGHTY GOD FOR THE PRESERVATION OF LIBERTY AND FOR VICTORY IN THE WAR OF 1939-45 AND COMMEMORATES THE SERVICES OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THIS PARISH WHO WENT FORTH TO FIGHT FOR FREEDOM OF WHOM ONE [name] MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE OFF ANZIO ON 25 FEBRUARY 1944

Poor condition. A stark contrast to the plaque above, this plain tablet does need some work, although it is still legible.
