Visited October 2009 and 20/09/2013. Quarry recorded at SX78031 77818.
October 2009 visit: Quarry measures 32.5 metres wide by 25.2 metres deep to path, approximately 14 metres high. Lovely feature visible because of light vegetation, some evidence of litter and car tracks (not significant). Sketch made.
September 2013 visit: Clear and evident, base of quarry levelled. Local source records that the quarry employed his father and grandfather circa World War 1. Note: granite tramway sections used in the track retaining wall, so track reinforced post-1859. (Large sketch made, plus 1906 map, and large photo of quarry workers from local source).

Ordnance Survey, 2013, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV350786.
