Full description

Five small pale structures are visible.

Five small structures, circa 1 metre in width, are visible across the road leading south from Broadsands on a single oblique aerial photograph taken in 1941. They are interpreted as a Second World War roadblock, probably consisting of anti-tank cubes or possibly cylinders. They are not visible on any other available aerial photographs, and were probably removed after the threat of invasion had passed or soon after the war ended. The quality of the laser scan is poor and rectification errors were high so the location is accurate to only approximately 10 metres.
