Full description

Steve Bush, 02/10/2013, Metal Detector Finds, Rull Farm, Cullompton (Correspondence). SDV354401.

The finds have consisted of at least three to four Roman coins, the only so far identifiable being early fourth century of Magnentius (Identified by the distinctive 'chi-ro' early christian symbol). Also one chunk of Roman Brooch, which also looks to be late Roman. There has been a medieval harness pendant as well. The fields are littered with fragments of building/pottery and white quartz pebbles. The find spots are currently with the Taunton FLO officer

Other finds in the vicinity have so far have been medieval and post-medieval in date and have not yet been shown to the FLO. It is clear that the site has had much use in different periods and has a broad spread of history on it.
