War memorial of a brass plaque, ituated on the left hand side of the chapel when looking at the altar. Relatively high up on the wall.
Royal Horse Artillery Cap badge at top of memorial. Also unusual phrasing with the word ‘Pleasant’, and very young for a captain.
'TO THE EVER PLEASANT MEMORY OF [name] CAPT. 2ND REGIMENT ROYAL HORSE ARTILLERY 8TH ARMY MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES SIEGE OF TOBRUK APRIL TO JULY 1941 AWARDED MILITARY CROSS MAY 1942 KILLED IN ACTION IN LIBYA 31 MAY 1942 AGED 23 YEARS'
