Cross in centre and fold-out lists of names. Those killed have a red crucifix after. Old boys of Smeatharpe School.

[at bottom of cross]OLD BOYS OF SMEATHARP [sic] SCHOOL.[on left fold-out]1914-1918<br>ROLL<BR>OF HONOUR[on right fold-out]1914-1918<br>ROLL[moving parchment has obscured ‘OF HONOUR’] [KIA:Bright Leonard Clode Walter Drake Frank Foxwell Charles Foxwell Harry Pearce Fred Smith William Venn C.Henry White William]'.
Unique school memorial with roll of honour. Cross appears to be melted down shell casing. Wood is from HMS Britannia 1869-1905 cadet training ship at Dartmouth. Originally in Lady Sidmouth School (closed). Private in the US Army (?Forces Command) is included.
