The cropmark does not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the tithe map for Dawlish.

A linear cropmark of a possible ditch approximately 20 metres in length and less than 2 metres wide is visible on aerial photographs of 1975. The cropmark does not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the tithe map for Dawlish and is on a different alignment to the contemporary field pattern. It might therefore predate the mid-nineteenth century. The date and function of the ditch are unknown.
