Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

Evidence of a possible former ditched field boundary of probable post-medieval date is visible on aerial photographs of 1946, to the south of Amity Farm, Dawlish. The possible boundary is visible as a short length of slight earthwork bank possibly flanked by a ditch on its south-western face, orientated roughly north-west to south-east. The earthwork does not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the tithe map for Dawlish, but is aligned roughly parallel to a boundary depicted further to the north-east. This might support the interpretation that the earthwork previously fell within a broader field pattern but was removed before circa 1840. The earthwork is not visible on later aerial photographs available to the survey.
