Full description

The vessel is visible as a largely complete, but wrecked structure.

The partial remains of the hulk are visible as a largely wrecked structure.

A hulk of modern date is visible as a wrecked structure on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2012, to the east of Turf Locks. The square-ended vessel is broadly north to south aligned and measures approximately 13m in length by 4.5m in width. The hulk remains partly visible, although largely covered with mud and vegetation, on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2012.

It is possible that this relates to a hulk recorded to the east of Turf Locks on the National Monument Record (832346).
