A hulk of modern date is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the south of the Turf Locks. The former vessel, which is northwest to southeast aligned, measures approximately 16m in length by 8m in width and is first visible as a recently abandoned and complete structure on aerial photographs of 1946. The hulk remains in a largely complete state and stationary position on aerial photographs of 1960, although appears to have been completely removed by 1970, although elements of the hulk may survive within the estuarine muds.
