The former extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

The former extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

The former extraction pit appears to have been completely levelled.

A former extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the east of Pitt Farm. The former extraction pit is sub-oval in shape, measures approximately 20m in length by 12.5m in width and remains visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs until 1969. The former extraction pit, which appears to have been completely levelled by 1979, is located within an area characterised by similar such earthwork features.
