The former field boundaries are not depicted on the Lympstone parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as a series of earthwork ditches on aerial photographs of 1969 and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, off Longbrook Lane, Lympstone. The former field boundaries form a broadly east to west aligned rectangular shaped plot which measures approximately 75m in length by 31m in width and borders onto Longbrook Lane towards its western extent. The former field boundaries appear to mirror the pattern of medieval strip fields depicted on the Lympstone parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. However, given both the clarity of these earthworks and the absense of other adjacent earthwork remains of other 'possible' strip fields, it is also possible that these earthworks are of more recent origin. The earthworks, which were not clearly visible on aerial photographs before 1969, remain partly visible as a series of earthwork ditches on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
