An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as a shallow earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the north of Lower Halsdon Farm, Exmouth. The possible clay or sand extraction pit is sub-oval in shape, measures approximately 32m in length by 25m in width and remains visible as a shallow earthwork pit on digital images of 1998-2012.
