The brickworks is depicted and annotated on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map. The earthwork is labelled Old Clay Pit on the Ordnance Survey second edition 25 inch map and had therefore probably passed out of use by the early 20th century. The pits are partly visible through the plantation tree cover on digital images taken in 2010.
