A possible slit trench of Second World War date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 overlooking the coast at Otterton Point. The trench is approximately three metres long and under two metres wide. It is likely the earthwork is associated with similar earthworks located roughly than 100 metres to the west. The earthwork is not visible on later aerial photographs available to the survey, but field investigation is recommended to assess survival under scrub vegetation.
