Summary
A circular earthwork pit is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 and on images derived from Lidar data captured in 2006. Possible surrounding upcast suggests that the pit could be a Second World War bomb crater. Earthworks are likely to survive.

A circular earthwork pit, circa 6 metres in diameter, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 and on images derived from Lidar data captured in 2006. Possible surrounding upcast is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken when snow was lying on the ground in 1963, and this suggests that the pit may have been caused by an impact, and it could be a small Second World War bomb crater. Earthworks are likely to survive.
