Two structures are visible on the foreshore on aerial photographs between 1946 and 1947. They appear to be rectangular with one pointed end to the west, measuring up to 10 metres across and 30 metres in length. Their function is not clear from the available photographs, but they may be related to later Second World War activity, perhaps parts of a pontoon or vessels. They are not visible on later available aerial photographs although it is possible that some buried remains survive.
