Several parallel linear earthwork banks to the south of Lock's cottage are visible on aerial photographs taken between 1946 and 2010. One is depicted on the nineteenth century mapping; to the north one certain bank is visible at a distance of 22 metres, with an aditional possible bank to the north of that. 26 metres to the south a possible bank is visible. Their spacing and layout is consistent with an interpretation as relict medieval field boundaries, most of which went out of use by the mid nineteenth century, with one remaining in use until the second half of the twentieth century.
