Field called 'Picketts Pale' on the Tithe apportionment of 1842 and Tithe map of circa 1842 (plot number 2711). It suggests that the land was enclosed by pale fence. Possibly an unusual boundary. 'Pale Park' is sometimes associated with a deer park.
