Summary

Three small pits visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south-east of Weston might be the remains of bomb craters of Second World War date. The earthworks were levelled as the field was turned to arable cultivation in the post war years.

Three pits between 8 and 14 metres in diameter are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s, to the south-east of Weston, Branscombe parish. The pits might be the remains of bomb craters of Second World War date. The pits were levelled as the field was turned to arable cultivation in the post war years and are no longer visible as earthworks.
