An irregular earthwork pit, circa 24 by 32 metres, is visible on aerial photographs from 1946 and on images derived from Lidar data captured in 2006. It is tentatively interpreted as a quarry that became disused before the late nineteenth century, as it is not depicted on the 1880s-1890s Ordnance Survey mapping. Despite agricultural cultivation in the modern period a substantial earthwork appears to survive.
