Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

Earthwork banks of uncertain date are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, within Withycombe Raleigh Common. The earthworks occupy an area of approximately 2.26 hectares of moderately north and northeast sloping ground and are broadly northwest to southeast aligned. It is unclear whether the earthworks represent former field boundaries of potential medieval date which passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48, as seems apparent with the eastern two earthworks, or are the result of more recent landscaping.
