Orchard features of post-medieval to modern date are visible as two earthwork ditches and an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards at Goodmores Farm. The site of the orchard is first symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The orchard, which occupies an area of approximately 0.19 hectares of land on the western side of the farm, comprises a series of parallel earthworks which likely represent the remains of earthwork ridges on which the fruit trees were established. The earthworks associated with the orchard appear to have been established over a partially levelled extraction pit and remain visible on aerial photographs up until 1969, although have been completely levelled by 1996.
