Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards at the former farmstead of Lovering Farm. The site of the orchard to the north of the farm is first symbolised on the Withycombe Raleigh parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The orchard has, however, been completely grubbed out by1947, although a series of parallel east to west aligned earthwork banks, upon which the fruit trees were established, remain visible. The earthwork banks remain visible on aerial photographs up until 1969, although have been completely levelled by 1988.
