Tithe Map shows the lane to Westleigh Farm (ran northwest from road at 26017 14540) passing through what became the quarry (Ordnance Survey map of 1889) and close to Lee Barton Farm (Lower Leigh today). Lee Lane was built after 1840 to provide access to the turnpike road.
