Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

A possible former field boundary of uncertain date is visible as a cropmark ditch on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2006, to the west of Tidwell Mount. The short linear cropmark is northeast to southwest aligned and is visible to a length of approximately 20m. The cropmark appears to respect the alignment of the historic field patterns based on medieval strip fields and may represent part of a contemporary field boundary which passed out of use by the time of the East Budleigh parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. Given the limited extent of this cropmark, however, it may equally be of more recent origin. The cropmark ditch was not visible on aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
