Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Late 19th century map depicts this structure adjoining a north-south building that pre-dates it. A very small, narrow building adjoins / overlaps at the north-eastern end, to the south of the main building. This building is not depicted on the 1840s Tithe Map; enclosures / courts are shown at this location.

Early 20th century historic map shows building without its eastern adjoining structure, but an extension has been added, this time to the north of the building, at the western end.

Survey depicts bank barn / shippon and describes construction. Thought to be mid-19th century. A major part of a tall, two storied range with fully hipped roof. Roughly coursed granite rubblestone and tiled roof. Banked to rear and block work lean-to attached to rear (right). See survey for photographs and further detail.
