The former extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

The former extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

The eastern half of the former extraction pit has been levelled for development, whilst the western half remains visible as a shallow earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards at Liverton Business Park. The extraction pit appears visible as two intercutting sub-circular shaped pits which measure approximately 49m in length by 27.5m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit remains visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1996, although by 2000, the eastern half has been completely levelled and developed upon. On digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2006, the remaining western half of the former extraction pit has also been developed upon.
