Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The extraction pit is partly symbolised on the Withycombe Raleigh parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the north of Liverton Business Park. The extraction pit is partly symbolised on the Withycombe Raleigh parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. It is irregular in shape, measures approximately 61m in length by 44m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
