An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the west of Liverton Farm. The extraction pit appears to be first symbolised on the Littleham parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. It is sub-oval in shape, measures approximately 40m in length by 20.5m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit remains visible as a shallow earthwork pit on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
