Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The extent of the extraction pit is broadly defined by a single small plot on the Littleham parish tithe map of 1838-48.

An extraction pit of probable medieval to post-medieval date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the east of Liverton Farm. The extent of the extraction pit is broadly defined by a single, small plot on the Littleham parish tithe map of 1838-48. It is sub-oval in shape with pointed base to the south, measures approximately 35m in length by 26m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit remains partly visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
