The former extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1988 and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the east of Liverton Farm. The former extraction pit is oval in shape, measures approximately 19.5m in length by 14m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit was not clearly visible on earlier aerial photographs made available to the survey owing to the slight nature of the earthworks.
