The former extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

The former extraction pit has been almost completely levelled, although its southern extent remains visible as a shallow earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the east of Liverton Farm. The former extraction pit is broadly sub-rectangular in shape, measures approximately 54m in length by 26m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit has been largely levelled on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, although its southern extent remains partly visible as a shallow earthwork pit.
