An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1950 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the south of Liverton Business Park. The former extraction pit abuts a historic and extant field boundary along its western edge. It is semi-circular in shape, measures approximately 30m in length by 26m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features. The former extraction pit remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
