Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as two cropmark banks on aerial photographs of 1969, to the south of Liverton Business Park. The two parallel, linear cropmark banks are east to west aligned and closely respect the historic field patterns. They may represent former boundaries of a medieval strip field which passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The cropmarks were fairly poorly defined and diffuse in nature, although were closely similar to other linear cropmark banks also visible on the 1969 aerial photographs and which are depicted as field boundaries on historic mapping. As such, these other former field boundaries were not transcribed as part of this survey. The cropmark banks were not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
