A linear bank and adjacent ditch, each circa 2 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken between 1946 and 1976, firstly as a low earthwork, and then as a pale and dark cropmark. It meets an extant field boundary at its east end, and is likely to be a relict field boundary, probably part of the surrounding medieval field system, which passed out of use by the mid nineteenth century and was levelled during the later twentieth century.
