A flat circular platform is visible as an earthwork circa 15 metres in diameter near the cliff edge to the south of Rousdon. Its siting potentially provides a good south-easterly view over Charton Bay and Humble Point, suggesting a possible military origin as a lookout point. However, the area immediately to the east was heavily wooded in 1946, so it is unlikely to be of Second World War date. It may be a post-medieval platform for a structure, perhaps associated with the designed landscape at Rousdon. Approximately 45 metres to the south another possible platform, this one elliptical, is indistinctly visible at SY2955790228, but was not clear enough to transcribe as part of this project. The features are not clearly visible on any of the other available aerial photographs, but slight earthworks may survive.
