Two earthwork hollows, 16 by 18 metres and 20 by 42 metres in size, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. They are situated just to the south of Bursdon Moor, either side of a now-removed field boundary that was depicted on the 19th century mapping. The plot of land that the westernmost hollow lies within was named Higher Quarry Close on the Tithe map, and they are interpreted as extractive pits that pre-dated the mid-19th century.
