Holland Roads was laid out in 1817 and the houses with bow windows date from this time. Detail from various deeds given. The deeds of No. 6 take the history of the area back to 1612 when it is described as gardens and cellar, presumably for fish or warehousing, and provide useful topgraphical detail for the 17th and 18th centuries.
