Large earthwork depressions are visible on the sloping edges of a combe head on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. They are situated immediately south of a plot recorded as 'Marl Croft' in the Tithe Survey and are between 40m and 60m in length and circa 35m across. The earthworks are interpreted as marl extraction pits of post-medieval to 19th century origin, with potential for further extraction into the plot to the north.
