Full description

One of the decorative motifs found on the war memorials of the South Hams are the warrior saints, such as St. Michael, as depicted on Ringmore's Roll of Honour frame.

Photograph shows framed memorial parchment with the 7 names of those who died, and below this the inscription 'The souls of the righteous are in the hand of GOD And/ there shall no torment touch them. The Book of Wisdom 3: 1-9'. Below are the dates 1914..1918.
