One of the decorative motifs found on the war memorials of the South Hams are the warrior saints, such as St. Michael, as depicted on Ringmore's Roll of Honour frame.

Parchment with names inscribed, surrounded by decorative border enclosing a shield at the base. Set on a wooden board. Above the inscription is a painting depicting a legendary warrior about to slay an adversary.

Photograph shows framed memorial parchment with the 7 names of those who died, and below this the inscription 'The souls of the righteous are in the hand of GOD And/ there shall no torment touch them. The Book of Wisdom 3: 1-9'. Below are the dates 1914..1918.
