Field called Bowling Green on Tithe Map/Tithe Apportionment (Tithe Apportionment No. 223). Pasture field of circa 2.25 acres. As field was not near a settlement at the time (Elverway Farm was built after 1890) seems possible that name refers to flatness/shape of field rather than actual use as bowling green.
