Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Tithe map shows a rectangular farmhouse to the north of the site, aligned east-west with a north-south aligned structure to the south. 1549 on the Lamerton Apportionment; 'house and yard'. Farm simply recorded as 'Brentor'.
Tithe map appears to show the farm separate from 1542, which is adjacent to the west.

Farm unnamed on the late 19th century historic map. Some alterations to the buildings, including to the farmhouse, which has either had a substantial extension on the northern side, or may possibly be a replacement building, on a north-south alignment. Two additional buildings added on the eastern side of the yard. Map appears to indicate that the farmhouse and buildings to the west may have been combined into this farmstead by the end of the 19th century.
