Summary

Former smallholding that dates to at least the early-mid 19th century, although may be older. One of only two properties that existed before the establishment of Clearbrook as a hamlet in the mid-late 19th century; this tenement owned the land to the south of the road and along the river Meavy; Mabor Farm owned that on the north of the road.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

'Ham Tenement' is depicted on the Tithe Map, 1239 on the Buckland Monachorum Apportionment ('House and courtlage'). Single building set within a plot.
