Full description
Christie, P., 1985, In Retrospect (Article in Serial). SDV126107.
Allhalland straight was once the only way into town as the buildings here used to have gardens coming right down to the rivers edge.
Torridge District Council, 2009, Bideford Conservation Area Appraisal, 15 (Report - non-specific). SDV351295.
Parallel to the Quay lies Allhalland Street, with the oldest properties, dating from the 16/17/18th centuries on the street’s western side. On this side the narrow paths that originally lead to the densely developed residential quarter between Bridge Street and High Street are the only remaining tangible physical evidence of this former use.
Ordnance Survey, 2014, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV355681.
