Leat dating to at least the early 19th century, based on cartographic evidence, although may be older. Depicted on the 1840s Tithe Map, supplying factory buildings on the eastern edge of Horrabridge.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Leat depicted on the Tithe Map, running from the River Walham to the factory buildings on the eastern side of Horrabridge. (19, 20, 29, 30 and 30a on the Sampford Spiney apportionment).
